http://blogpros.com/blog/2014/05/makes-perfect-blog-post-infographic
I think anyone would agree that there is a considerable amount of blogs out there and that writing the perfect blog post is an art form in itself. However there are plenty of ways and techniques that can be used to help you get as close to crafting a near perfect blog post as possible.

Whilst the infographic above from BlogPros contains statistics that are around a year old, the data they collected after analysing over 100 high-ranking blogs and the posts that they have published is most certainly still of value to those who blog. Just ensure that when looking at this data that you do understand that in the last year that there have been changes and developments that may impact on the effectiveness of taking this advice. However I believe it to be still relevant.

If you do take one thing away after going through the infographic it should be that there no thing as a perfect blog post. Variety is the spice of life and it's what keeps things interesting. Plus wouldn't you rather a blog post that is to the point rather than waffling on to just to get have a 1149 word count? Some posts are more visual than others and don't require as many words.

It would be even more interesting if the above statistics were split into the different genres that blogs typically fall into. The reason I say this is that some genres have different content requirements compared to others, and comparing a street fashion blog to one that features recipes could greatly impact the data being analysed.

Take these statistics and implement them into your approach to blogging, but don’t try to build your perfect blog post entirely based on them. There are several other factors that impact on what makes a perfect blog post, including search engine optimisation, social media popularity, timing and of course how well you have written your perfect blog post. Try and find your own voice, because by being true to yourself and writing about what you love is more engaging for you and your readers.

What do you think about the above infographic? Do you have any special tips for creating the perfect blog post?
