It's All Relative

Some families catch up over BBQ's and picnics, mine also also gets together around an exhibition. Displaying illustrations, photographs, paintings, ceramics, jewelry and other bits and pieces. The fifth Tattersall family exhibition It's All Relative to be held at Mushroom Crafts Art/Craft Space in Leongtha during December and January.

For this exhibition I've four of the drip animals I created a few years ago.

I always look forward to the family exhibitions. It's nice seeing what everyone else has been creating and discussing each others work.

If you happen to be in South Gippsland during the next two months make sure you pop on by to check it out.

Spirit of the Square

Spirit Of The Square - Christmas at Federation Square
Merriment, music, films, video games, family portraits and secret picnic places – it looks like Fed Square in Melbourne is doing Christmas a little bit differently!

For the month of December Fed Square will be filled with the Christmas spirit, there is a huge program of free events, including an installation of more than 100 Christmas trees arranged around the Square, free family portraits among the trees, a Christmas market, and a film program.

Before you think that's it, Christmas carols will fill the air twice daily with free concerts from community choirs and performances from some of Australia’s best emerging bands at Fed Square Live every Thursday evening.

Fed Square's Big Screen Gaming program will present new and independent games each week with the team at Freeplay Independent Gaming Festival.

Pull up a picnic blanket and enjoy block-buster movies and classic Christmas films on the Big Screen weekly in December. With a special movie marathon on Christmas Day.

With its array of family-friendly events and activities, Fed Square’s free Christmas program Spirit of the Square has little something for everyone.

Etre's Utilitarian Bags

Etre Satchel
I've always loved the look and feel of Etre's collections and their Autumn/Winter 2013 collection is now different. Drawing on the understated but characterful traditions of British workwear, they've looked to the best time-tested solutions from the past and pioneering innovative solutions where history offers no blueprint.

My favourite pieces from their latest collection are the satchels and holdalls. Each crafted with love from the same high quality Melton wool as their jackets and are fabricated by a small Cornish leatherwork company. The holdall is wool lined and fits comfortably within most airlines' hand baggage containers, which is handy for those who like to travel.

The team at Etre describe each piece a component of a uniform for contemporary life that feels special and personal – British workwear for a new generation.

Visit Etre's website to check out the entire Autumn/Winter 2013 collection.
