There are so many great initiatives out there that help humans, creatures and nature. One such initiative is Skateistan, the project which helps Afghani and Cambodian kids learn, skate, have fun and experience a bit of normality.
When they were looking for donation for their fundraiser in Sydney I didn't batter an eyelid. The piece I painted live at the CURVY 8 event in 2012 will be auctioned off for this great cause. I'm proud to be able to help support something that I feel passionate about, which is letting kids be kids.
If you are in Sydney head along to aMBUSH for a night of raffles, skate demos, music and short films. All in support of the use of skateboarding as a tool for education and the empowerment of children in Afghanistan and Cambodia.
