Happy Valentines Day

Happy Valentines Day everyone.

What are your plans for today? Do you celebrate Valentine's Day? Lately I've been busy with work, CURVY 8, training, painting and a few other things. Today besides my normal day job, I'll be spending my night writing. Though I'm sure a nice dinner with a glass of wine will be on the cards.

I'm Running Run Melbourne for Alzheimer's Australia Vic

Early this year after a very long break I re-joined Chelsea Longbeach Surf Life Saving Club with the goal to compete in the Ironwoman, Ski and Board events in the 2012-13 series. As part of my training I've set myself goals such as running the 5km at Run Melbourne.

For me personally I find it heart wrenching that younger onset dementia can affect those in their 50’s, 40’s or even your 30’s. Yet, there is a significant lack of education, research, support and understanding of the needs of younger people with dementia.

Which is why I'm asking for those who want to show their support for me taking on the 5km run at Run Melbourne to support Alzheimer's Australia Vic with a donation.

You can make d donation today via my Everday Hero Page at

A Moment To Pause

Photographer: Unknown

Sandy Dogs

Generally I don't do commissions, because I find them more of a chore than something I enjoy. Though recently I was asked by my mum to create a stencil piece as a wedding gift.

I really enjoyed doing it. We went through the bride's photos on facebook and picked out one of her dogs. She shows her dogs and takes a lot of pride in them. I can't wait to hear what she thinks of it.

I'd love to do more commissions like this. Where there is more of a personal connection with the person who receives/buys the work.
