Over the next week I'll be moving house, so in advance I apologise for not keeping up with my blog posts, email or twitter. I'll be busy packing and unpacking boxes, moving and sorting out stuff, plus trying to work out where everything should go.

Do make sure if you have the time and are in Melbourne that you check out my solo exhibition "Patchworked", I'd love to hear what you think of it. It's on until the 30th of September.

Humane Chain

A little while ago I posted about the 'Humane Chain' a WSPA campaign against the transport of livestock to the Middle East. the campaign is being driven by Handle with Care and the Humane Chain. To date over 12,000 people, including myself, have joined the chain and sent letters/emails to local MP's expressing our concerns regarding the transport of livestock over such long distances.

As part of my commitment to the campaign I have to created 3 illustrations which can be seen and purchased to call your very own at my solo exhibition "Patchworked". 100% of profits from the sale of these illustration will be donated to WSPA.

Patchworked - My Solo Exhibition! - Reminder

This coming Friday is the opening of my first Melbourne solo show "Patchworked" at At Large Galley in Northcote. It Opens on Friday 17 of September and will run until Thursday 30 September.

The works in this show are heavily influenced by the art and craft techniques of times gone by, Australia and my recent trip to Germany. I'll be incorporating these factors with my passion for animal rights and the encouragement of using ones imagination. I've chosen to leave the stencils in their place this time round and work more so in an illustrative style both in 2D and 3D formats, allowing me get a little darker with my works than normal.

In the exhibition there are 3 illustrations which I have created, reflecting upon WSPA's (World Society for the Protection of Animals) campaign against the live export of sheep. A program that I've been supporting and spreading the word about. These illustrations have been designed to be a conversation starter about the topic. They will be for sale at the exhibition with all profits from their sale being donated to WSPA.

I'm so excited about this exhibition and will be posting a little bit more about the show closer to the date, which isn't to far away.

Curvy 7 Update - Again

Congratulations to everyone out there who made it into Curvy 7. It was a long wait for sure and an interesting one of that. To those who didn't make it, all the best for next time!

I was talking with another artist friend of mine about it and sadly she didn't get into Curvy, but she did get into Semi Permanent. On the other hand I got into Curvy 7 and didn't get into Semi Permanent.
To those feeling a little blue, cheer up because there is something out there you've gotten into that others haven't been able to and hence vice versa. Plus there is always next time.

Blackbook - Everfresh

This is the event I've been waiting for, since I first heard about this book by the guys at Everfresh I've been on the edge of my seat waiting for the launch night. The artists that make up Everfresh each one has their own style and yet as a collective one style.

Having not yet turned a single page in the book, I'm making a bold statement by saying "This is a book that belongs on the shelf of every Melbournenite and Sydneynite who even has a spark of an interest in street art". Though I believe that once I have turned a page or two I'll stand by that statement 110%.

As part of the official release of the Limited Edition ‘EVERFRESH: BLACKBOOK’ this Friday night there will be artist signings, installation artworks, limited edition photographic prints by
Josh Robenstone & live DJ’s and YES you can also purchase a copy of the book too!
