Tim Burton - Alice In Wonderland

Have you yet seen the pictures that were recently released by Disney for the up and coming ‘Alice in Wonderland’ by Tim Burton? I hope you have because ‘WOW’ they are just so gorgeous and I’m all so very excited about seeing the film when it comes out early 2010.

Which ever coined phrase you choose to use ‘Burton-esque’ or ‘Burton-ized’ this film appears to be a ghoulish, dark, bright, colourful, enchanting, vintage, child like, innocence, dark and nothing less than what one can expect in a Burton film.

To send you on your own wonderful journey I’ve some links for you so that you can view even more pictures and articles about Tim Burton’s ‘Alice in Wonderland’:
• Pictures taken durring the making of the film:
• Interactive pictures and articles at USA today:
• Discussions and images of the magazine article from Disney 23 Magazine, March 10:

Not so many people were impressed with Tim Burton’s version of ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ compared to the 1971 version directed by Mel Stuart, but I felt if you took on each film as an individual work, each was just as stunning in their own rights. This is how I hope people will view ‘Alice in Wonderland’, with new eyes and see it as an individual piece rather than to compare.

On another ‘Alice in Wonderland’ note I’ve been waiting for a ‘Phantasmagoria: The Visions of Lewis Carroll’ with Marilyn Manson which I’ve read is due for release in 2010, but then I’ve also read that it was meant to go out 2006 and 2008. If it’s out or even if you know when please someone tell me.
