Seventh Sell Out Sale

Last night I painted 2 new paintings, 'Umbrella Girl with Feathers' and 'Muted Face & Fringe' these are both for the Seventh Sell Out Sale that's on this coming Tuesday.

I had some wonderful pastel paper left over and thought I would challenge myself and only use greyscales on them. To be honest I was pleasantly surprised with the result and I am seriously thinking of getting some more of this paper and doing some more.

A bit about the Seventh Sell Out Sale...
' Economic crisis! Help starving artists pay less rent! Save SEVENTH from destitution!

On Tuesday 16th of December, SEVENTH will be hosting an Every-Thing-Must-Go-Super-Sell-Out-Art-Sale. There will be around 100 works on paper donated to gallery, which will be “sold” for $20 (including a free drink) to 100 corresponding ticket holders. We are hoping to raise enough money to help subsidise the rent for 2009, when we will be extending the exhibition period from 2 to 3 weeks, and off-site projects we are hoping to develop in the New Year to generate opportunities for artists to show their work without paying rent.

We will then be hanging the show, salon-style and without names, that evening. The gallery will be open from the Monday for the “Preview” and the sell-out-sale will happen on Tuesday the 16th of December from 6pm - 8pm.' - Seventh
